Do you think you need to live in america to make it "big"?

Ok, i know this is a bit of an open, and strange question, but i do have a point, and i want your thoughts. Wether you agree with it or not, its probably safe to say that Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Rhianna are three of the biggest singers in the world right now. They are all American (Or Canadian, and now live in America) Now, there aren't many singers from my country, but from places like England, France, Spain, and other European countries, no singer has ever been as big as these three. So do you think that America is the only place to make it big? Is it the only place where people can actually "live their singing career dreams"? Do you agree or disagree? Your thoughts please!
