Marina fees question interested me. Any more facts to be shared?

I am considering taking the boating plunge and dollars are of grave concern. The winterizing of a live aboard and any of the little (ha) surprises that may pop up are what I need to speak to an experienced sailor about. agigators, wind versus extra 30 amp plug etc. anybody out there? Capt. John you there?
