Ultrasound at 9 weeks and no heartbeat....?

I had bloodwork done yesterday and last week my hcg levels went from 45000 on Friday to 30000 on Monday.. at the u/s, there was no heartbeat, we saw the baby but there was no heartbeat.. the cervix was perfectly closed and everything seemed to be allright. My dr scheduled a d&c for tomorrow.. is there any hope for my baby?? I don't want to lose hope, but I know that there's pretty much no hope.. any advice? Has anyone else gone through this??
