What will happen if I bake a cow's rib bone?

I have these rib bones that I got (after eating ribs), cleaned, and bleached, and I haven't done anything with them... I want to bake them into clay to create a cool-bony-bowl-thingy, for my art cl, but I don't know how this will affect the bone itself. ANY SUGGESTIONS?!?!?!
