Broken rib? strained muscle? what's wrong with me?

I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and last Saturday I unknowingly hurt myself while sparring. That night I could not even sleep...it hurt around my rib area to my back...I seriously thought I broke a rib, but I figured I'd be in far worse pain...I can move in all directions that my back and abdominals allow, but it hurts when I apply pressure to a certain area...I keep checking my ribs by feeling and checking in the mirror, but I don't feel anything wrong...I'm thinking I strained a muscle like my lat or intercostal muscle since the pain is only in a certain area and runs up from my rib area to my back...I keep checking my ribs by tapping and hitting the area, and it really does not feel like anything is broken...besides no one hit me for it to be broken...I did throw a guy off me but in sort of an awkward, twisting motion so I'm guessing I strained a muscle...can someone help me in determining how I can help this heal faster or actually determining what it is? Thanks!
