Well I use that way on my brothers dog and the way you keep it up there is you have to keep it tight not choking the dog just keeping not to much slack on it once you let alot of slack in the collar will come back down but, once you have the control of the dog that you want than you can start using the collar in the regular way good luck and any more ?? just ask
