You can't do it without the upper elbows and pre-curved upper bar. The upper elbows are custom parts, not standard PVC fittings. And just a bit of advice, buy a metal framed goal. We have the PVC ones and they warp very badly and very quickly. And if you live in cold climate, they break easily when frozen.
